Written by Yukio Mishima. In Mishima’s script six women in French revolution fashion dresses gravitate around an absent man, the Marquis De Sade, who is in jail. In my production only the main character was played by a female actress, the other five characters were all male actors playing in female costumes. Since drama school, I have been attracted to the beauty and violence of this script, which is a great excuse / pretext to explore the cruelty of Artaud and what might be the meaning of truth on stage.

En el texto de Mishima seis mujeres vestidas en el tiempo de la revolución francesa gravitan alrededor de un hombre ausente, el Marquez de Sade, que está en prisión. Mi adoración por este texto parte en la escuela de teatro, en Temuco Chile, en donde bajo la dirección de Marcos Guzman actué el texto por primera vez. La poesía y la violencia del texto son para mí una gran excusa para experimentar con al crueldad de Artaud y jugar con el concepto de la verdad en escena.
