This performance is the second in the trilogy ‘QUEERING MASCULITY’

In Latin-American culture, the biological function of fatherhood is one of the most important masculine gender performances. Therefore, men without offspring are regarded somehow as failed men. Domingo 7 explores the relationship between fatherhood and queer masculinity. In a way this performance, as the previous is built upon a question: who am I as an adult male without offspring? A lesser macho? An almost macho? A deficient macho? This performance explores the tension between queer macho and the biological function of fatherhood.

En la cultural lationamericana, la función biologica de la paternidad es una de las performances  de género masculino más importantes. Ser un hombre y no tener hijos es visto, de alguna forma, como una masculindad fallida. Esta performance, como la previa, es construída en base a una interrogante: Que tipo de hombre soy sin hijos?
